FOB (Free On Board) Douala – Our Standard: This is our most common term. Noumedem Global Trade handles all local logistics, including the costs of processing, storage, certified weighing, customs clearance, and loading the goods onto the vessel at the Port of Douala. Risk transfers to the buyer once the goods are on board the ship.
CIF (Cost, Insurance, and Freight): Upon client request, we can arrange for CIF delivery, covering the cost of the goods, shipping freight, and basic insurance to your destination port.FOB Douala Logistics
Structured Payment Terms (T/T Focus)
FOB Douala Logistics.To secure large-volume international orders, we utilize standard, verified banking instruments:
Preferred Method (T/T): We require a 30% advance Telegraphic Transfer (T/T) upon Proforma Invoice acceptance and contract signing. This deposit secures the sourcing, processing, and preparation of your specific order. The 70% balance is payable only upon the buyer’s receipt of the full set of final shipping documents (including a copy of the Bill of Lading) via email, prior to the vessel’s arrival.
Letter of Credit (LC): For added security on large or initial orders, we accept a confirmed, irrevocable LC at sight, issued through a top-tier international bank.
Guaranteed Quality and Secure Container Loading
Quality for Noumedem is a process, not just a label. Our final conditioning and loading procedures are meticulously managed from our Melong hub to the port.
Certified Weighing and Grading: Every shipment undergoes final inspection to verify grade (Grade I/II for cocoa; Premium Grade for coffee) and is weighed by certified scales at our Melong facility before transport to Douala.
Optimal Moisture Control: We guarantee the commodities meet low moisture standards (<7.5% for cocoa) vital for long transit times, preventing mould and preserving quality.
Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI): We facilitate and welcome third-party Pre-Shipment Inspections (PSI) by internationally recognized firms (e.g., SGS, Bureau Veritas) at the port warehouse. The PSI confirms the weight, quality, and condition of the cargo before container sealing.
Container Security: Containers are stuffed and sealed under supervision at the Port of Douala. The Container Number and Seal Number are recorded on the shipping documents and immediately transmitted to the buyer to guarantee an unbroken chain of custody.FOB Douala Logistics
Essential Export Documentation for Global Customs
Full and accurate documentation is critical for smooth customs clearance at the destination port. Noumedem Global Trade guarantees the timely provision of the complete set of required papers, adhering strictly to international trade laws:
Commercial Invoice & Packing List: Detailing the goods, net/gross weights, and commercial terms.
Bill of Lading (B/L): Issued by the shipping line, confirming the goods have been received on board. This is the title of ownership.
Certificate of Origin: Official document confirming the commodities are sourced and exported from Cameroon.
Phytosanitary Certificate: Issued by the Cameroonian Ministry of Agriculture, certifying the cargo is free from pests and diseases.
Certificate of Weight and Quality: Issued by an independent inspection body (often the PSI firm or the controlling authority).
